Activities for the Academic year 2003-2004 S.A. Vasantha Kumara, Assistant professor, IEM, conducted entrepreneurship motivation programs for the students of DSCE on the following days. Activities for the Academic year 2004-2005

1. The ED cell was formally inaugurated by Sri.Shyam Kodavarthi, an Alumni of DSCE and an entrepreneur on 19^th Aug 2004 at 11AM in the electronics Block Seminar Hall. Sri Shyam Kodavarthi also gave an Inaugural talk on  ‘Entrepreneural challenges ‘. Prof. S.K.Srinivasa Varadan, Principal, presided over the function. Around 68 faculty members attended the program.

 

2. ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS PROGRAMS were conducted on the following days for the students of different departments of the college:

Entrepreneurs from various sectors motivated our students with their inspiring lectures and they were administered with behavioral tests to assess their entrepreneurial aptitude. Feed back from all the participants were recorded about their aptitude and orientation for taking an entrepreneurial career. Prof. S.K.Srinivasa Varadan, Principal, DSCE inaugurated these programs and emphasized the need for developing entrepreneurial competencies among students.

 

PRODUCT EXHIBITION AND SALE

 

As a part of these programs, PRODUCT EXHIBITION AND SALE was organized on Friday, 15^th October 2004 near the campus canteen by the members of AWAKE (Association of women entrepreneurs of Karnataka). Around 15 women entrepreneurs displayed their products.

This exhibition was organized with an objective of motivating young students, the thrill & joy of doing business and also as a community service to encourage women entrepreneurs.
